Portmore Empire To Release Double Album

Adidjahiem / Notnice Records is set to unveil blazing new material from the Portmore Empire's top gunners on February 28th, with the digital release of Empire Universe: The Second Chapter.

The double album features previously unreleased material from Empire 'Teacha' Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel, the class 'prefect' Popcaan, Jah Vinci, Shawn  Storm, Merital, Doza Medicine, and rising star Sheba. Empire Universe: The Second Chapter will also debut material from new recruits Tommy Lee, Singa Blinga, and Maxwell.

Dancehall fans will finally hear the full versions of long awaited singles "Dancehall Hero Pt. 2," from Vybz Kartel, and "The City Yeah" (Gangster City Pt. 2) from Popcaan. The album will also include the full version of Kartel's popular youtube freestyle "Colouring Book," as well as his latest street bangers "Benz Punany," and "Cake Soap."

Formed in 2007, the Portmore Empire is an arsenal of young Dancehall and Reggae talent based around artists from the Waterford community in Portmore, St. Catherine -- nicknamed the  'Gaza.' Portmore Empire artists have mirrored the raw talent, musical versatility, and controversial nature of their founder and group leader, Vybz Kartel.
