Earlier this week in an article published by the Jamaica Star controversial dancehall artiste Lisa Hyper was rumoured to be pregnant. However, the 22-year-old deejay says there is no truth to the claims.
In a telephone interview with the local paper the pint size deejay rubbished claims of her alleged pregnancy. "I am 22 years old and am giving myself four more years before I get pregnant," she said.
"Mi naah run dung nuh family. Check mi wen mi a 26," she concluded.
According to the deejay, she has gained some weight because of poor eating practices, but that's not a sign of pregnancy. "I spend a lot of time in the studio working on my album without eating, until late in the nights, and I mostly eat junk food like KFC, so that is why I put on weight," she said.
Lisa Hyper says that she merely put on some weight on her thighs and upper body. She also said that people are not accustomed to seeing her looking thick, so they are making assumptions.
"Mi naah have nuh baby until mi have mi money and mi house. Mi haffi get rich first, and I don't want more than two children either," she intimated.
The artiste is currently working on her debut album called The Realest B.I.T.C.H., with veteran producers Jam2 and King Jammys. She also plans to undertake a series of promotional tours in England, Canada, and the United States.
Also acting in the capacity of a promoter, the artiste is currently making preparations for her event dubbed The Crowning of Lisa Hyper, to be held on October 15 at Club Altitude in Spanish Town, where she promises to give an exclusive performance.
Other artistes set to appear at the show include Turbulence and Fantan Mojah, among others. She also says that any artiste who wants to be part of the event should contact her.
