Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Campbell, better known as Shawn Storm, remained in jail over the weekend in connection
with an ongoing murder investigation in which he could possible be charged.
The My Life singer turned himself in to the Constant Spring
Police last Tuesday, one week following his release from a Portmore jail
after being named a person of interest. Shawn Storm’s attorney, Michael
Deans, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court last Friday, hopful that a bail application made on the “Gaza” artiste’s
behalf would be successful.
However, Deans asked Senior Resident Magistrate, Judith Pusey, to
produce an order; postponing the matter until Monday in order for a
Constant Spring Police representative to update the court on Shawn
Storm’s case. The order was subsequently granted.
News broke on Thursday that Shawn Storm could jointly be charged in a
murder case involving long-time mentor, Vybz Kartel. It was reported that sources close to the case confirmed that Shawn Storm could jointly be charged with the self-professed “Worl’ Boss” and Kiro
“Ray” Jones in relation to the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams in
Havendale, St. Andrew this past August. Kartel is expected to face the
Resident Magistrates Court on Monday to answer to that murder charge.
