Mavado & Ky-Mani Marley To Star In Shottas 2 Movie

Dancehall superstar David ‘Mavado’ Brooks, will reportedly have a major role in Shottas 2, the sequel to the gritty gangster urban classic, which starred Ky-Mani Marley, Spragga Benz and Munair Zacca.

While filming officially commenced on April 20, details are yet to emerge on what direction the story will take this time and when the film will be released.

Writer-director Cess Silvera confirmed via Twitter that, in addition to Mavado, the cast will again include Ky-Mani Marley.

In 2006 Shottas officially entered the begin screen, Shottas was considered the Jamaican version of "Scareface"  about organized crimes in Kingston about two young men, Wayne (Spragga Benz) and Biggs (Kymani Marley), who grow up together on the tough and dangerous streets of Kingston, Jamaica.

As young boys, they begin a life of crime, eventually moving to the U.S., where they begin a ruthless climb from the bottom to the glittering top of a criminal enterprise in a Miami filled with fast cars and gorgeous women. The two men remain fiercely bound by their shottas loyalty as they aggressively take control of the Jamaican underworld.
