Resurgent deejay Ninja Kid
is the latest member of the dancehall fraternity to be featured in an
international magazine. The Jamaican entertainer whose given name is Ojukwu
Simpson is featured in the June issue of Canada’s very popular L3
Magazine. [VIEW MAGAZINE]
In the three page spread
chronicled by Tricia Spence, Kid talks about his formidable years in the 90s,
how he got his break and working with some of the industry’s current icons to
his present reinvention.
Currently a nominee for this
years’ 'Comeback Artiste Of The Year' at the 2012
Music Industry Achievers awards, Kid is very pleased with the state of his
career and has been working assiduously with his management to raise his
profile.
"I try to record several songs weekly because this is a very competitive industry and you have to stay ahead of the game if you want to rise to the top." He explained.
Since returning to the scene Ninja Kid has released five music videos namely: 'Menke', 'Have Nuh Gal Like We / Tongue Ring Shot', 'Dem' featuring Markus Myrie and his Summer offering 'Look Pon Duh Gal Deh'. Plans are also in motion to shoot videos for his current singles 'Stushy Stushy' on the Mattrass Riddim and 'Gal Bubble' with Mr. Vegas.
Meanwhile, Kid will headline Guinness Club Hamma scheduled for June 29th on the front lawn of Hotel Versalles, May Pen.
