Usain Bolt Crashes BMW Again, Escapes Without Injury

Jamaican sprinter and 100m world record holder Usain Bolt on Sunday morning walked away unscathed after his BMW motor car was involved in a minor accident in the vicinity of Half-Way-Tree.

It's understood the global sprint star was on his way home from a popular event when he met in the accident at approximately 5:00am. Information as to what led to the crash are still unclear at this time.

Former world record holder Asafa Powell was also at the scene of the accident, but in another vehicle. Bolt, also the 200m world record holder, and Powell both ran in the Diamond League meeting in Oslo on Thursday and are now preparing for the national trials at the end of June.

Newly released photos show the BMW motor car was caught in a front end collision and had to be removed from the scene by a wrecker.

This is Bolt's second accident in three years. In 2009 he crashed his BMW M3 into a ditch in the vicinity of the Vineyards Toll Plaza along Highway 2000. The car flipped a few times before landing upside down, but the Olympic and world Championships star suffered only minor injuries to his feet.
