Mavado Marked For Death? Deejay Increases Security

International Dancehall star Mavado now back in the island is the latest subject of controversy after sources close to the deejay revealed that they have strong knowledge of an alleged hit being taken out on the We The Best recording artiste.

According to information gathered, it further alleged that the fatal bullet that claimed the life of close friend 'Connie' at a night club last year was supposedly meant for Mavado.

"Yea man, dem a say Vado switch, stop do dancehall and all kinda things but a tru dem nuh see wah gwan from the top___  a safety above anything else right now fi di deejay," the source said.

Further allegations are that known public figures and even law enforcement officials are in on the plot.

Mavado's manager, Julian Jones-Griffiths, lamenting on the situation of his client being 'Marked For Death' said that he doesn't want to elaborate on the matter citing that the 'Hope and Pray' singer is aware of the claims, "he's still alive and never scared and trusts in Jah."

The artiste whose given name is David Brooks returned to the island to perform at the Arthur Guinness Day concert held on Thursday, September 27th at the National Indoor Sports Center alongside Popcaan, Sizzla and several Soca acts.

Depsite, the imminent danger, Mavado remains focused on amplifying his career and has been making appearances at several social gathers with what appears to be an increased security detailing.
