Mavado Popcaan & Sizzla For Arthur Guinness Concert

Three of Dancehall's biggest names are set to share the stage alongside two of the regions more popular soca artiste at the 2012 staging of the Arthur Guinness Day concert set for the National Indoor Sports Centre.

The concert which unfolds on Thursday, September 27th will feature former Portmore Empire deejay Popcaan alongside Reggae virtuoso Sizzla and the internationally acclaimed David Brooks better known to the masses as Mavado.

In a statement to the media Mavado said, "It's great to be a part of this concert in Jamaica that will show the world how we do it a yard! I'm very excited to perform in front of my fans in Jamaica; the energy they give you at a show is like nowhere else on earth. Jamaicans are the best crowd so I'm determined to give them the best performance."

Meanwhile other acts billed for the show include the energizer bunny Destra Garcia and accomplished soca/calypso artiste Kerwin Du Bois. Hailing from the soca capital of Trinidad & Tobago Du Bois is a singer/song writer that has climbed his way to the top of the Calypso World, by first winning the Junior Calypso Monarch in 1992, the Young Kings competition, and finally gracing the stage at the Big Yard for the National Calypso Monarch on several occasions.
