Red hot Dancehall deejay Konshens after stamping his authority on Usain Bolt Tracks & Records with a scintillating performance at the 'Behind The Screen' series is now en-route to the African continent for an assignment this weekend.
Konshens, is slated to headline a concert dubbed 'Konshens Live In Kampala' in the Ugandan capital to mark the country's Golden Jubilee (50th independence). The event will get on the way Friday, October 5th and will feature Jamaica's own G Money alongside local acts Bobi Wine, Navio, Young Mulo, Big Trill and Mun G.
Meanwhile, the artiste whose given name is Garfield Spence is one of five Jamaicans nominated for the 'Best Reggae Act' in this year's Music Of Black Origin Awards (MOBO). Other contenders include Damian 'Junior' Gong, Sean Paul, Popcaan and Mr. Vegas. The ceremony will unfold on November 3 in Liverpool, England.
Konshens released his debut album, Mental Maintenance in February, to rave reviews, topping iTunes charts in Japan, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and New Zealand. Additionally, singles off Mental Maintenance such as Simple, Last Drink (featuring Voicemail) and Do Sumn found favour with fans locally and overseas, dominating charts while cementing Konshens’ status as a legitimate superstar.
