Bugle Ignites Belize & Premier Two New Videos

Dancehall artiste Bugle, known for several conscious and thought provoking singles, was recently at his best in Belize.

The artiste whose real name is Roy Thompson, delivered a commanding performance at Bobby Chin’s birthday celebration held at the Why Not Island in Dangriga. The event also featured musical juggling by Black Chiney and Eccentrix sound systems.

In a release to the media, Bugle noted that substance will always overcome the hype. He stressed that patrons are expecting to get their money’s worth and as such he always tries to deliver a well rounded and credible performance.

“Belize was a real good look. The people appreciate good music and I knew I had to deliver a performance that the fans will appreciate. It’s not about the hype, it’s about good positive lyrics that will stand the test of time”, said Bugle.

Bugle recently completed a remix of the song Only Human produced by ZJ Chrome. The remix features former Portmore Empire deejay Popcaan.

Explaining the story being the song Bugled said, ‘It’s just a case where sometimes people think artistes or public figures don’t have to stress. But it’s one of those songs”.

This isn’t the first time that Bugle has worked with ZJ Chrome. In the past he has been featured on the producer’s projects including the Triple Bounce rhythm. Asked how Popcaan got involved with the remix, he said, “Well Popcaan heard the song and said he felt that I was singing about his life and he’s going through the same exact thing that I was highlighting in the song. He did a great job on the song”.
The video for Bugle’s current single Don’t Give Up was recently released where it premiered on Television Jamaica's Entertainment Report. The video was shot on location in the U.S under the direction of Jerome Hyde of Unplugged Multi Media. The interracial video features persons from varying backgrounds including Hispanic, Black and White.

"The concept of the video is basically demonstrating what the song is talking about. People from all races, colour, creed and background go through struggles but faith moves mountains. So even though we are demonstrating in the video the troubles and tribulations, it still has a happy ending to it”. - Bugle added.

Bugle’s current musical projects include an album for producers Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare.
