One of Dancehall’s power couples will be welcoming a little bundle of joy later in the near future as Tami Chynn and Wayne Marshall are expecting their first child together later this year.
Chynn made the announcement via her official Facebook page late Wednesday night shortly after Marshall teased fans on his Twitter page by saying “Nobody don't sleep. Big announcement coming up....or a better me wait till tomorrow...??”
Chynn’s status update read, “@Wayne_Marshall & I are so happy to announce that we will be welcoming our first child later this year. We are over the moon & giving thanx. Thanx to you all for your continued love and support as we enter this very special time in our lives!!!”
Within minutes, her status was liked thousands of times by many of her 156,000+ fans on the social media site, offering congratulatory comments. Some even wondered why it took them so long to have a child, with one comment stating, FINALLY! *pops champagne*
Marshall followed up soon thereafter with his own status update.
"Tami Chynn and i are happy to announce that we will be welcoming our first child into the world later this year. Exciting times ahead. Thank you all for your continued love and support as we enter this very special time in our lives," he said.
After years of dating, Tami Chynn married Wayne Marshall in 2009 during a private ceremony at the Mona Visitors’ Lounge in Kingston. The duo have appeared in several songs together, including Arguing, Why and most recently, Good Ole Wife on Marshall’s highly-acclaimed Matrimoney Riddim (2011).
