Woman's Nude Photos Leaked To Church Members

A phone-repair technician who was given a woman's phone to repair is accused of releasing obscene videos and photos of her to various social media and to some members of her church.

The 22-year-old man, who was charged with obscene publication and unlawful access to phone data, was remanded until today when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Friday.

The Crown led evidence that the accused, who is known to the complainant for approximately 10 years, was handed the phone to repair.
The phone needed to be charged, as a result the accused plugged it into his laptop resulting in the computer backing up the nude pictures and sex videos of the girl.

These photos were later published through popular messaging platform WhatsApp, and later appeared on Facebook.

While at a church convention, the complainant was approached by the choir director who wanted to discuss with her the pictures and videos which surfaced.

In court, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey asked the accused man why he did not delete the photos to which he responded that he wasn't the one who had sent them out.

The magistrate ordered that the matter be set for mention today
