Manchester City Striker Raheem Sterling Dedicates Match Winning Goals To J Capri


Jamaican-born football star Raheem Sterling celebrated his birthday on Tuesday in style after scoring in the Champions League not once but twice as Manchester City came from behind to beat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium.

A source close to the footballer later revealed that Sterling received a pair of custom shoes with the late Dancehall artiste J Capri’s name imprinted on it for his birthday.

Sterling took to Instagram on Tuesday to pay tribute to the singer, telling fans he scored for her.

“Today was for you it was my birthday n I was determine to score for you..such and Angel n a genuine friend May god be with your family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” Sterling captioned his post

J Capri died on Friday December 4, 2015, the singer succumbed to her injuries at the University Hospital Of The West Indies (UHWI) in St. Andrew, after being involved in a car accident along Barbican Road in Kingston at around 12:30 on November 23.

J Capri was hospitalised for two weeks, she was placed in a coma shortly as family members appealed to the dancehall community and members of the public to donate blood on behalf of the dancehall rising star.

Doctors treating the young star had also predicted her full recovery, J Capri would have celebrated her 24th birthday on December 24.
