After being named one of the ambassadors for the upcoming Food For the Poor 5K Run/Walk race slated to unfold on Saturday, May 7th, to raise funds for the construction of approximately 100 houses for the less fortunate; Dancehall star Tifa is not only increasing her philanthropic deeds but also her international presence.
The artiste whose given name is Latifa Brown earlier this week received confirmation from British media house BBC Radio that her single ‘Big Bumper’ produced by Christopher Birch on the Moskato Riddim has been officially added to the Radio One playlist alongside international superstars Rihanna and Drake’s monster hit ‘Work’.
The inclusion of the song on the playlist means the singer will see amplified rotation and exposure to thousands of new fans and opportunities on mainstream radio in that marketplace. On receipt of the news a humbled but very pleased Tifa exclaimed,
“I'm just happy and excited! I've been putting in a lot of work since the beginning of the year!!! I just want to say thanks to all have been giving me the love and support”
With the current success being enjoyed internationally the ‘Jealous Ova’ singer has moved to capitalize on the opportunity with the premiere of an official medley video for ‘The Champ / Big Bumper’. Shot by video connoisseurs RD Studio, ‘The Champ’ flaunts some intriguing visuals.
According to noted journalist and entertainment critic Rob Kenner of Boomshot and Complex Magazine,
"Tifa's visuals are always next level & this is no exception! It's Crouching Tiger meets Kill Bill meets Jamaican bumper pageant.”
Following its exclusive premiere via Boomshots.com a few days ago, fans can now watch the pristine visuals at Tifa’s official vevo channel at Youtube.com/TIFAOFFICIALVEVO.
Meanwhile, Tifa was recently named one of FADER Magazine’s top 25 artistes in the world to watch and listed among the top 10 greatest female deejays by LargeUp.com
