Aidonia Creates History at U.S College [WATCH VIDEO]

Dancehall Superstar Aidonia created history over the weekend becoming the first solo Dancehall act to sell out a major venue in less than two hours after tickets were announced.

According to representatives from the New York based Buffalo State College, tickets went on sale last  Monday and within an hour and twenty minutes everything was sold. It's further understood the college auditorium accommodates approximately 3000 persons.

Unfolding on Friday, April 21st the concert dubbed 'Caribash' featuring the 4th Genna deejay as the sole headliner saw throngs of patrons waiting outside the venue at the Buffalo State College up to two hours before showtime. Brother and member of Aidonia's management team Lav Lawrence said,

"I went with my team to do sound check prior to showtime and was shock to see patrons already outside the venue waiting to gain entry."

The show which kicked off at approximately 10pm was packed from wall to wall as hundreds poured inside the venue to see the 4th Genna Boss in concert, who ironically was also making his debut in that space.

The hour-long presentation saw the 'Banga' deejay delivering arguably one of his best performance showing growth and maturity as the predominantly female audience hung onto his every word singing in unison to each selection. Following the performance Aidonia thanked the College and patrons for the overwhelming support before obliging a photo op and autograph session.

However, unfortunately on Saturday night his second concert in Newark, New Jersey did not enjoy a similar fate as the city's Fire Marshalls shut down the concert before it commenced citing potential overcrowding issues which could lead to other security concerns.

Though somewhat disappointed Aidonia said he understood the concerns of the authorities and the safety of the patrons has to be paramount, but vow to return undoubtedly to a bigger venue in the near future.

Locally, the savvy lyricist is gearing up to release the highly anticipated follow-up to his monster hit 'BANGA' dubbed 'KRAYZAY', the latter is produced on the 4th Genna Music /Ancient Records imprint.
