Sports Star Marlon Samuels Working On New Reality Series [WATCH VIDEO]


West Indies Cricketer and international Sports personality Marlon Samuels currently in India on professional duties will be expanding his entrepreneurial endeavours this summer with the launch of a new reality series.

Still in its infancy the series dubbed 'The Making Of An Icon' will encapsulate all facets of the cricketer's life, both on and off the pitch. Shot in partnership with Triad Media the project will give fans an opportunity to see the man behind the glitz and glamour of the popular sport.

"The show will give people an opportunity to see Marlon doing every days things not just on the pitch but also at home, on the road, spending time with his family among other amazing adventures. It promises to be something awesome so just stay tuned." - a representative from Triad Media stated.

In recent times Samuels has also been doing a lot of philanthropic work across the region through his Foundation. At a recent presentation held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston he donated $J350,000 to Garfield Mitchell's a visually impaired student of the Church Teachers' College who was on the brink of dropping out of school because his tuition fees had overwhelmed him.

He also made a second donation of J$1.5 Million to the Jamaica Society For The Blind. Among the attendees  at the ceremony were former Prime Minister Portia Simpson and current Entertainment Minister Olivia Babsy Grange among other dignitaries.

Samuels formed the foundation after he had encountered a moment of blindness himself. In 2013, while playing in Australia's domestic cricket league Big Bash where he took a nasty blow to one of his eyes from the cricket ball while batting.
