Nesbeth Gives Back To Students; Singer Lauded by Embassy & Police High Commission [WATCH VIDEO]

As the Yuletide season shifts into high gear Reggae luminary, Nesbeth is definitely in the mood for giving. Wrapping up a two-month island-wide campaign to bring social awareness to school children regarding the use and impact of social media. The singer last week made a surprise visit to Montego Bay High School where he handed over a cheque worth fifty thousand dollars, to two students of the academic institution. The recipients: Mikaliah Allen and Brianne Irons were the overall winners of the 'Success Story' online competition, hosted in November in collaboration with Foota Hype Music (F.H.M).

Making the presentation during the school's devotional period, Nesbeth implored the pupils and school administration with special mention to the ancillary staff to follow their dreams and become their own 'success story'.

"I know what it's like to not have, coming from very humble place and having to face some almost insurmountable obstacles to get to where I am in life; but the real reason I was able to make it this far is because I had a dream and I never once lost sight of it despite the challenges. So today before I leave, I want to personally implore you all to have a dream and work earnestly towards it."

The Principal, Mr Gary Powell, thanked Nesbeth for the kind gesture; encouraging him to continue being a beacon of inspiration for the youths of this country.

Over the weekend the 'Success Story' hitmaker also made appearances at the Office of the Police High Commission and the United States Embassy, delivering stupendous sets respectively. The Rastafarian crooner was lauded by both entities for his selfless effort at nation-building.

Meanwhile, as the year draws to a close, Nesbeth remains steadfast on completing his album but is expected to release an EP in the first quarter of the new year as a precursor to the album.

The singer's next appearance will be at the 5th instalment of Ghetto Splash this Tuesday, December 19th.
