Portmore Empire deejay Andre Sutherland better known as 'Popcaan' on Monday pleaded guilty to marijuana possession when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates court.
He was fined for the banned substance.
The 'Raving' deejay was arrested for the offence in May last year. However, failure to appear at his August 17th court hearing resulted in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
After evading the lawmen for almost a year, Popcaan was finally apprehended on July 22, 2011.
Popcaan is a member of the Vybz Kartel led Gaza outfit and is known for songs such as 'Gangster City' and the now popular 'Raving'.
