The news which broke late last week was confirmed via the BBC 1Xtra website which showed "Swaggin" holding the #1 spot ahead of Vybz Kartel with Summer Time at #2, Ravin by Popcaan at #3, Call Me A Yardi by Stylo G at #4 and Every Gyal by Chipmunk and Mavado completing the top 5 listing.
Speaking to 1 Xtra radio personality Robbo Ranx in an exclusive interview last Thursday, Wayne Marshall who is represented by Solid Agency stated that the song was universal and that expectations for the single where high from day one. "We knew it was going to be big, so we were just preparing for the journey".
A production of the hit making production label Washroom Entertainment, Swaggin which was release over 5 months ago is still getting heavy radio rotation across the world, a commendable achievement which also enjoys visual support thanks to a Jay Will directed music video which was released in August.
Despite not being an official group the "Swagg Unit" of Wayne Marhsall, Tifa and Fambo have an undeniable musical synergy and fans can only hope another monster collab is in the near future.
