Elephant Man Avoids Lawsuit With Fashion Designer

Colourful entertainer, Oneil “Elephant Man” Bryan has avoided legal action being taken against him by a fashion designer who claimed the deejay owed him JA$1 million for designer garments.

The prominent designer threatened to file a lawsuit against the “Energy God,” after fowarding documentation requesting that he pay his overdue debts within a few days. However, a day after the matter was made public, Elephant Man came forward; paying the designer more than half of the million dollar bill that was issued to him.

Though the bill is yet to be completely settled, the designer is reportedly pleased with Elephant Man’s effort to re-pay the money. However, it’s unknown if the designer will render his services to the “Pon Di River” deejay in the future.

This financial saga is not the first involving Elephant Man. In July of last year, his red Mercedes Benz was seized from his Hillview Crescent, St. Andrew premises by the Tax Administration Department after failing to pay his taxes.

This past June, Elephant Man was arrested after allegedly using an illegal wire connection to steal electricity from the Jamaica Public Service (JPS). He’s expected to appear in court November 30th to answer a charge of abstracting electricity.
