LIME Considers Pulling Sponsorship on Kartel's - Teacha's Pet

Vybz Kartel’s reality show, Teacha’s Pet could soon be losing one of its major sponsors following the arrest of its centerpiece on Thursday night.

Kartel was arrested at his New Kingston hotel room and later charged with ganja possession along with a woman and two other men following an operation conducted by the Flying Squad. However, it was revealed on Friday that Kartel was being investigated regarding the discovery of a dead body at his Havendale, St. Andrew residence & was a subject of a bigger case that the “Dancehall Hero” might be connected to.

Now, telecommunications company, LIME, who sponsors Kartel’s new reality series, Teacha’s Pet, could be withdrawing their sponsorship from the show should bigger charges be laid against “Di Teacha.” Officials from LIME intimated that they were following the case of the prominent deejay; engaging in talks with the producers of the reality show, Creative Source Productions regarding the charges that were issued against Kartel. "We will continue to monitor the situation and as more information becomes available, if necessary, we will issue a further statement,” LIME stated via press release.

LIME’s mobile television outlet, LIME TV is responsible for showing the “Too Hot for TV” version of Teacha’s Pet. The uncut episodes air via LIME TV’s Peppa Channel every Friday night at 11pm local time; an hour after the show’s initial airing on CVM TV.

Friday night’s episode of Teacha’s Pet did not air on CVM TV at its regular time slot due to circumstances beyond their control ; specifically issues within the editing process. However, the full, uncut version of the episode was still shown via LIME TV at 11PM last night.
