Payday Music 'Austin Green' Receives His Grammy Award

Having worked for years as an engineer and producer alongside reggae superstar Buju Banton, Austin “PayDay” Green is finally getting the credit he deserves this after snatching credits for being the Engineer on Banton’s 2011 Grammy Award winning Reggae Album “Before The Dawn”. Last week the music mogul received his Grammy to add to his collection of accolades. When asked how he felt about the win he was quoted as saying “I am happy it just goes to show eventually it pays off when you work hard and honest, I was the engineer on 5 of the tracks on “Before The Dawn” and I also did some of the backing vocal work as well”.

CEO of the production company PayDay Music Group, Green has a number of new projects currently enjoying rotation on radio. “Well I have crazy work putting out right now, a few weeks ago I release about 5 different singles for a number of artists including QQ with “Same Gun”, Alaine with “Counting Tears”, 2 songs for Marlons Binns “My Life” and “My People Rise”, Patex & Nymron with “Jah Jah Beg Yuh Please” and the big collab with Iyara and Beres Brown called “I’m Not Running” all of which are doing very well both local and overseas."

Apart from offering quality production services PayDay is now involved in artist development for a number of acts including former Gaza member Kym Hamilton who is now a member of the Alliance camp. “Right now Kym is exclusively booked through PayDay Music Booking which is a division of my parent company. Me and Cross Kris of the Alliance Fan Club is also push the new unit called A.N.G or Alliance Next Generation which consist of Iyara, Nymron, Patex and Marlon Binns. This unit was formed by the general himself Bounty Killer who is looking to buss all of them this year”.

Other upcoming projects for PayDay include the Death & A Funeral Riddim, Bad Riddim, Party Spree Riddim and the just released all female Bed Room Riddim which will feature Ishawna, Stacious, Bridgez, Kym Hamilton, Nefatari amongst others. “As always mi have to big up Kris David and the team, all the fans who appreciate our work and contribution to the music fraternity.
