Vybz Kartel Booking Agent/ Designer Charged For Murder

It seems that the world around controversial Dancehall artiste, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer continues to crumble as his booking agent also faces a murder charge.

Calvin “Moonie” Haye, designer and booking agent for Vybz Kartel, was jointly charged with murder in relation to the killing of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew this past August.  Haye was formally charged with murder following questioning by law enforcement in the presence of his attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson.

Haye was summoned by police earlier this week for questioning relating to Kartel’s case; granting an interview for TVJ’s Entertainment Report the night before he turned himself in to the Constant Spring Police. In the interview, Haye claimed that police barged into his home weeks earlier; startling him and his family before using excess force against him. According to Haye, he’s innocent of any wrong doing and will fight the charges brought against him, in part because of his affiliation to Kartel.

Meanwhile, Vybz Kartel’s protégé and Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Storm, will jointly be charged for murder with the “Dancehall Hero,” Haye and Kiro “Ray” Jones in the Williams case, according to reports Shawn Storm reported to the Constant Spring Police station on Tuesday for the second time in just over a week; facing questioning from law enforcement in the murder case.

Investigators from the Constant Spring Police and the Major Investigation Task force alleged that Kartel and the rest of the men were involved in a heated dispute with Williams over a missing, illegal gun. Williams was then taken to a residence in Havendale, St. Andrew where he was stabbed and beaten to death.

As for Kartel, reports have circulated that a third murder charge may be looming for Kartel as early as next week. He’s due to appear in the Gun Court section of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court on Monday to answer to his most recent murder charge as well as a count of ganja possession stemming from his initial arrest on September 29th.
