Staying true to his promise of increase presence and performances for the New Year hardcore deejay Aidonia was in spectacular form recently at a concert in the Leeward Islands. Billed as headliner for the ‘Labour One Love’ showcase held at Port Zante in St. Kitts on Saturday, the Jag One Productions (JOP) recording artiste delivered a masterfully crafted set to the thousands in attendance.
With a catalogue spanning almost a decade a sweat-drenched Aidonia reeled off a cadre of his classics interspersed with recent chart toppers like ‘Kush Inna Mi Brain’, ‘Run Road’, ‘Don Deh Yah’, Ryder and the ladies anthem ‘Fi Di Jockey’ to much fanfare from a very receptive audience.
Following the concert Aidonia told members of the Caribbean media community thought he has been to the island several times he was very appreciative of the hospitality extended to him by the people of St. Kitts.
“It is always a pleasure to perform for my Caribbean people, it’s just a different energy that you can’t get anywhere else in the world and the large outpouring of people is evidence enough that we doing something right so big up St. Kitts.”
Meanwhile, back on local soil the deejay is promoting a myriad of new singles namely ‘Lightening’, ‘Make Ur Waistline Roll’ and ‘90s Gangsta Town’ amid gearing up for the much publicized BritJam 2015 set for Montego Bay, St. James. Aidonia is slated to perform on Monday, March 16th as part of the week long festivities which run from March 11th – 17th in the second city.
