Currently saturating the airwaves with the chart bubblers ‘80s Dancehall Style’, ‘90s Gangsta Town’ and the new female favourite ‘Nuh Boring Gyal’, Dancehall star Aidonia continues to diversify his entrepreneurial portfolio. Coming on the heels of a pair of exciting performances at Spring Break 2015 and the recently concluded Red Stripe Britjam 2015 in Montego Bay, St. James, the deejay has now shifted focus to his upcoming birthday celebrations.
Set to unfold over the Easter Weekend the J.O.P boss in partnership with Streets Entertainment will be invading the shores of Island Village Beach, Ocho Rios on Saturday, April 4th for a night of major fun and frolic. Sponsored by Smirnoff the festivities will also feature a performance by the Unruly boss Popcaan with hosting duties courtesy of Chi-Ching Ching.
According to Aidonia he’s advising patrons to come out early to avoid any congestion at the gates.
“We have been doing a lot of promotion on the ground especially in Ocho Rios and its environs, the feedback has been tremendous to date so we’re advising eligible partygoers who are planning to attend to come out early and avoid any congestion at the gates, because we want everything to run smoothly and everyone to have a fun and incident free time.”
When quizzed as to what patrons can expect over the Easter Weekend the ‘Bad People’ deejay says, “fans can come out expecting to full-joy themselves in a clean, safe and secured environment, lots of prizes and surprises; you know JOP always bring the energy anywhere we go plus we have the entire JOP along with Popcaan and Chi Ching Ching so you know it nah guh normal.”
He further explained, “We decided to take it to Ocho Rios this time around because the out-of-town fans have been complaining that we’re only keeping the parties in Kingston so we’re just showing them that we are listening when they speak, plus it’s a nice way to expand the JOP brand by going into new parish.”
Meanwhile, after releasing a viral video for ‘90s Gangsta Town’ Aidonia and his team are continuing work on their movie chronicling snippets of his life and that of the members of his camp. Though still in its infancy the proposed 40-minutes visual will be an accompaniment to the soon-to-be-released ‘Open Sky Rhythm’.
