Though faced with a myriad of challenges last year, nonetheless it was the year of the 'Dream' for recording artiste Nesbeth and indeed he tried to live it to the fullest despite some perpetual woes.
Fast forward to 2017 and as the year draws to a close the Rastafarian singer has been experiencing much brighter days while spreading his 'Success Story' (the follow-up to 'My Dream') across the globe resulting in one of the hottest tracks currently on the European circuit.
Enjoying premium rotation at almost every major festival on the continent, Nesbeth is very pleased with the response and is set to depart the island this week for the United Kingdom on professional business.
"The current momentum being enjoyed by 'Success Story' internationally seems to be seeping into the Jamaican entertainment space; naturally finding its way onto the playlist of numerous radio and street jocks and I am really happy with that," Nesbeth exclaimed.
He continued, "Last week we also released the official video on Vevo (youtube.com/NesbethVEVO) and the response has been great. So with everything that's happening we are now looking to other regions like the United Kingdom to broaden the support base. I sang it last month during a concert at the O2 Arena and the patrons were very receptive so that's a good indication."
Nesbeth further explained that his departure will not distract from work on his upcoming album as he plans to do some recording amid the promotional campaign. The singer is scheduled to return on September 18.
Confirmed for the 2017 staging of the Miss Jamaica World competition set for September 23 at the National Indoor Sports Centre, Nesbeth has been tasked with the responsibility of serenading the beauties as a new queen is crowned. His next international assignment will be in Houston, Texas in October.
