L.A Lewis Granted J$50,000 Bail

Entertainment personality and graffiti artiste L.A Lewis after spending one night behind bars was granted bail in the sum of J$50,000 when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning.

Lewis, whose real name is Horace Lewis, is scheduled to return to court on November 28 on charges of breaching the Anti-Litter Act. Yesterday the very vocal Lewis was remanded in custody following the issuing of an arrest warrant.

Lewis was fined $70,000 by the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) for defacing public property with graffiti, but has refused to pay, claiming he did not personally deface any property. His refusal to pay the fine landed the matter in court.
