The world’s greatest female reggae artists are heading to St.
Kitts to honor the women of the Federation, on Friday October 28, in
the Warner Park stadium. This historic concert will feature some of the
biggest names in dancehall music, including Alaine, Tanya Stephens,
Ce'Cile, Queen Ifrica and Lady Saw.
Also on this elite lineup are a few of the Federations premier
female artists like Empress Livity, Queen Anastasia, Rolhensha and
Shakki. The “Stitch in Time” concert is presented by Pandas
Entertainment, owned by Wayne Clarke. Clarke said the concert is about
empowering women in the Federation.
“This concert will pay tribute to our women of all walks of life,”
Clarke said. “So no matter where they come from or what position or
status they hold this concert is for them.”
Clarke pointed out that the name of the concert is derived from the Federation’s national reggae star, Masud Sadiki’s Stich in Time
song, which was dedicated to the fight to end violence against women.
That song is used by United Nations Development Fund for Women in that
world-wide campaign.
Tickets for the concert are available from NR Sales, Morton’s
Supermarket, Wheels and Brakes, Gabby’s Shop, B’s Enterprises,
Richard’s Shop and Fraites and Sons Enterprises.
Clarke said he is grateful for the tremendous support he has
received from both the public and private sector in organizing such a
significant event. He thanked Digicel, Rum Barrel, TDC, ZIZ, AVIS,
Sprat Net and Ryddim Magazine for the various levels of Sponsorships.
