Police To Question Kid Kurupt About Sexual Offenses

Law enforcement officials from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are expected to question dancehall deejay Kid Kurupt today, in relation to the alleged sexual violation of a minor.

Its understood that the police became interested in interviewing Kid Kurupt, whose given name is Javon Rodney, after he allegedly posted sexually explicit tweets and photograph(s) of a teenager.

Several unconfirmed reports have suggested that, the artiste allegedly boasted on Twitter of having sexual relations with the girl since she was 14 years old. However Kurupt has denied the accusations, claiming that the tweets were not his handy-work as his phone was not in his possession at the time of the alleged incident.

In a statement to the media, Kurupt said he's not being hunted by the police nor is he in hiding and wants the instigator(s) trying to defame his character be warned that a lawsuit is imminent.

Meanwhile, after questioning__ if the entertainer is charged he could face carnal abuse and child pornography charges under Jamaican law as posting nude photos on the internet of a person under 18 years is a breach of that law. The age of consent in Jamaica is 16 years.
