Upon receiving the good news, Subkonshus recording artiste Konshens in a release to the media said,

"It feels good to be nominated for any award that recognizes quality and consistency in work, but honestly I do music for the people, the every day people, who give me instant feedback on Twitter or Facebook, they keep me grounded and award me day to day".

Meanwhile, Sean Paul's Tomahawk Technique album has scaled the UK charts. He hit the singles charts in recent months with She Doesn't Mind, and How Deep Is Your Love featuring Kelly Rowland.
