Detectives from the Seaview Gardens Police Station have commenced a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of a foetus that was found in the Seaview Gardens Sewage Plant in Kingston 11 yesterday.
An employee stumbled upon the body about 8 a.m. and summoned the police. A post-mortem is to be conducted to ascertain the age, sex and time of birth for the foetus.
Meanwhile, investigators are appealing to anyone who has information that can assist in the probe to contact them at 901-9423, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station. Persons may also give information by downloading the Stay Alert app, which is available free in the Google Play store.
