After scoring his first No.1 and official hit single with ‘Run Road’ featuring Aidonia. Recording artiste Govana, formerly known as Deablo has always had his eyes on the international landscape.
Releasing several noteworthy tracks over the years the burgeoning star aligned to the 4th Genna Music imprint is finally getting the international attention he always wanted. This after his latest effort titled ‘Happy’ got added to a numbers of radio outlets across Miami and the New York Tri-State Area. The single, a follow-up to the buzz-worthy ‘No Complaining’ has been enjoying premium rotation across the space including the local FM airwaves and party circuit in Jamaica. The move has also led to the securing of a number of upcoming appearances across the diaspora for the young talent.
Govana credits the resurgence to the employment of a new team and strategic approach to the industry. Speaking with award winning broadcaster and journalist Winford Williams in a recent interview the deejay said,
“A lot of things are happening for me right now; for that I am very thankful. I have learnt a lot over the years, the do’s and don’ts. Those are the lessons I am now applying. Since my last hit I’ve been using the time to hone my skill-set and learn the business of entertainment so I can take a more professional approach to the industry."
Govana who recently completed a double stint in Trinidad and Tobago departed the island over the weekend for an assignment in Miami, Florida. On the music front, aside from promoting ‘Happy’ he recently teamed up with veteran entertainer Mad Cobra or the collaborative effort ‘Sky A Drop’ which has amassed over 120,000 views online in three week.
