Blak Ryno Releases First Official Single On His Own Label

Since exiting the Portmore Empire, Garrison recording artiste Romane Anderson better known as Blak Ryno continues to show dexterity in the very competitive Jamaican music industry. Aside from overcoming many challenges following his departure, the deejay also became an entrepreneur forming his own record label and last week released his first official single under the 'Garrison Records' label.

The song titled 'Whine Me', exuding traits of soca influences was jointly produced with Markus, son of incarcerated reggae superstar Buju Banton.

In a release, Ryno said "This just the first of many projects heading into the festive season." While crediting his brief hiatus to time spent learning and understanding  the industry.

The 'Seet Deh' singjay is also working on a rhythm compilation slated for release in the weeks ahead and has already secured some established names for the project alongside his protege Kaliba, a young singer hailing from the Waltham Park/Maxfield community. Kaliba is best known for the track 'Sey Dem A Friend' on the White Collar Riddim featuring Ryno.

Enjoying favourable rotation on the FM airwaves with songs such as ‘Gaza Beating Stick’, ‘Tek Away Dem Gyal’ and ‘Dehso’; Ryno is in full throttle mode making final preparation for the upcoming holidays with shows across the Caribbean diaspora include Barbados and St. Lucia and the highly anticipated Sting 2011.
