Ninja Man Post Bail, But Stop Order & Curfew Imposed

Popular Dancehall deejay Desmond Ballentine better known as Ninja Man and his son for the first time in three years got a chance to sleep in their own beds after their bail offer was officially taken.

Despite being granted bail last Friday, the entertainer and his son were unable to post the $2 million dollar each with three sureties offered by Supreme Court judge Christine McDonald until Tuesday afternoon.

However, as part of his bail condition Ninja Man has to surrender his travel documents and is expected to report to the Oracabessa Police in St. Mary on a daily basis with the exclusion on Sundays. Another condition is the imposing of a stop order and curfew stating that the entertainer should not be seen on the streets between the hours of 8:00pm -6:00am.

Ninja Man is scheduled to return to trial on July 16 in the Home Circuit Court.

The two have been in custody since March 2009. They are charged jointly with Dennis Clayton and Seymour Samuels who were granted bail some time ago.

They are charged with the murder of Richard Johnson who was shot dead in his yard on March 16, 2009.
