Last night the ongoing tension between members of the Mavado led Gully Squad and Flexx's, Fagan Fraternity came to a climax at the weekly staging of Weddy Weddy street dance hosted by Stone Love.
Information gathered revealed that in the wee hours of Thursday morning following the immediate adjournment of the event. Dancehall deejays Savage and Flexxx where involved in a brawl with rival deejay Chase Cross and several of his cronies aligned to the Gully camp.
Allegations are that Savage and Flexxx were approached by Chase Cross and his cronies in a hostile manner when a heated exchanged ensued. The argument quickly developed into a physical altercation where it's further alleged a projectile resembling a knife was drawn, subsequently leading to Chase Cross being allegedly punched in the face by Savage, and several bottles thrown.
Thankfully, the quick intervention of the police brought the melee under control after a few shots were fired in the air, causing the crowd to disperse and quell flaring tempers.
Efforts to reach Flexxx and Chase Cross for a comment proved futile, However Savage gave his side of the story and also posted the following message on his facebook wall. [listen audio below]
