Beenie Man's Father Funeral Set For June 24

The funeral service for Herbert Augustus Smith, the father of international recording artiste Beenie Man and his brother Rohan 'Blue' Smith, will be held this Sunday, June 24th at the New Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church, on Columbus Drive in Duhaney Park. The funeral service is set for 11 a.m.

The interment will be held at Dovecot Memorial Park in St. Catherine. There will be an event at 74 Hughenden Avenue, Kingston 20 on June 23rd.

Beenie’s dad, more affectionately known as Bragga, died on Wednesday, June 6th at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Kingston while receiving treatment for an undisclosed health complaint. Reportedly, the news came as a complete shock to Beenie Man as well as his long-time manager and brother, Rohan ‘Blue’ Smith.

Beenie Man’s ex-wife, D’Angel visited the hospital and offered her condolences upon hearing the news. 

According to the singjay, Bragga was a very fun person to hang around.
