Law enforcement officials from the Jamaica Constabulary and the Jamaica Defense Force have saturated the community of August Town in St.
Andrew, following what the police say is a flare-up of gang violence.
Around 9:30pm Saturday night two persons were shot and killed in a section of the community called Africa Gardens.
According to the police, two other persons were injured, one is said to be in serious condition.

Residents say there was sporadic gunfire in the neighbourhood throughout the day on Saturday. The police are, at present, carrying out operations in search of the individuals involved in the shootings.
They say this flare-up is the first such disturbance to the relative calm the community has experienced for the last few years.
Among several premises searched was that of Rastafarian entertainer Sizzla Kalonji whose currently embroiled in a lyrical war with fellow deejay Khago.
Following the raid, Sizzla associate and music producer/engineer 'Bread Back' posted on his on twitter page: "Ppl how khago fi say him a bad man and fight war and send police up a sizzla yard yesterday fi rade___ Khago a so desperate till u a spread rumour say sizzla dead. do better than that youth and careful wha u wish fa"
