Aidonia Nominated For Several Awards

Following a cluster of hits last year with songs such as ‘Bad People’, Jack Hammer, Heart Is Hers, Cyaah Done, Nuh Par Wid and Nuh Tek Chat among others dancehall lyricist Aidonia has been nominated for several awards including ‘Favourite – Male Artiste Of The Year’ and ‘Favourite - Male Artiste Dancehall’ in this year’s Youth View Awards, (Y.V.As) set to unveil on February 5th at the National Indoor Sports Center.

In the STAR’s People’s Choice Awards 2011 he is also nominated in the categories: ‘Best Male Deejay’ and ‘Song Of The Year’ for his street anthem ‘Bad People’.

Aidonia who recently renewed his friendship with fellow deejay Ryno following years of musical tension is booked to headline the first ever All Island Carnival dubbed Soca Junkies. The event will commence on January 29th at the Urban Development Corporation (U.D.C) Field in New Kingston.

Meanwhile, with his first official single for 2011 titled ‘She Mek Me Say’ on the Star Boy Riddim already enjoying immense rotation on the FM airwaves fans can look out for  several new releases in the coming weeks.
