Despite facing some major challenges last year dancehall artiste Blak Ryno ended the year on a high note, topped off by a commendable performance at the 27th staging of STING at Jam World, Portmore.

While others rang in the New Year and revelled in the festivities the entertainer born Romane Anderson and his team were en route via a private aircraft to the shores of Bahamas for a concert dubbed ‘New Year New Gear’ which he was the headliner.

Held in Freeport, Grand Bahama the show also featured fellow dancehall act Lisa Hype and Darkcide International & Zip FM’s ZJ Wah Wa among a number of local acts.

On arrival Blak Ryno one of the most popular acts on the island was given a warm welcome by the people who clamoured for a glimpse of the deejay before being escorted off to Mix 102.1 FM for a radio interview. Following the concert the team departed for the capital Nassau where they greeted fans at a West bay autograph session.

Now back in the island the artiste has been working assiduously recording new material while  enjoying favourable airplay with a cluster of singles namely; ‘Shades’, ‘Wine & Dip’, ‘Seh Dem A Friend’ and most recently ‘Picture’ produced by Arif Cooper on the Good Tymez Rhythm.
