Savage, a brand new talent emerging from Dancehall star Mavado's crew of deejays, the Gully Squad, has captured local attention with the pounding street anthem "Mi Nah" on the Ital Stew Riddim.
Produced by Billboard-topping producer Rohan "Snowcone" Fuller, the single has fast become a crowd favorite at weekly events such as Uptown Mondays, Weddy Weddy Wednesdays, and Hapilos Thursdays. On January 27th, Jah Snowcone Entertainment and director Janelle Dyer unveiled the video for the bubbling single to great reviews on Jamaica's Hype TV.
"Mi Nah" is the one of the break out singles on Snowcone's thumping Ital Stew Riddim. The riddim was initially release with "Boy Shorts" by Mr. Vegas, and singles from Tifa, Spragga Benz, Rayvon, and Mia Stoosh, in addition to Savage, last August. Over the past 5 months, R&B singer Teirra Mari, Dancehall powerhouses Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal, Shaggy, and Red Fox, and rising star Khago have all added their voices to Snowcone's delicious musical Ital Stew.
Snowcone, who is best known for producing Sean Paul's #1 Billboard single "Temperature," on the Applause Riddim (for which he received an ASCAP Pop Music Award), has also produced the Rice & Peas, 7-11, Cheerful, and Landscape riddims, and has worked with everyone from Bounty Killer and Elephant Man to Wyclef, Salaam Remi, and P. Diddy.
