Gaza Slim Denied Bail, Remanded Until Dec.19th

Portmore Empire recording artiste Gaza Slim was earlier this week remanded when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

The artiste whose given name is Vanessa Saddler is charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

She is being represented by attorney-at-law Pierre Rodgers.

Saddler was charged by the St Andrew North police on December 8, days after she surrendered to the authorities.

She had reported to the police that Clive 'Lizard' Williams, the man deejay Vybz Kartel is accused of killing on August 16, assaulted her during a robbery in Havendale, St Andrew.

Gaza Slim claimed that the incident occurred on October 29, five days after Kartel was charged with Williams’ murder.

It is alleged that she and others concocted the story to help Vybz Kartel with his defence.

Gaza Slim is to return to court on December 19.

On that same day, Kartel and his co-accuses are to reappear in court in relation to the Williams murder case.
