Gaza Slim Surrenders, Police To Begin Interrogation

Dancehall singjay and Portmore Empire member, Vanessa Saddler, more popularly known as Gaza Slim has turned herself in to police after being named a person of interest regarding a murder case involving her mentor, Vybz Kartel.

Gaza Slim reported to the Constant Spring Police Station on Monday afternoon, accompanied by her attorney. The singjay was initially summoned by law enforcement officials to report to the station on Friday to face questioning in the Kartel matter. This followed several failed attempts to communicate with the singjay.

The artiste otherwise known as Vanessa Bling faces a charge of perverting the course of justice after allegedly filing a false police report; claiming that she was robbed by Clive “Lizard” Williams, one of the men Vybz Kartel stands accused of killing at a Havendale, St. Andrew premises in August. The report was filed five days after the self-professed “Worl’ Boss” was charged for the murder.

Law enforcement officials insist they possess a cellular phone containing a text message where Kartel ordered Gaza Slim to fabricate the robbery. According to police, this was done as a measure to aid Kartel’s legal defense.
