Vybz Kartel Sports New Haircut At Court Appearance

Portmore Empire leader and Gaza boss Vybz Kartel appeared in the Resident Magistrate court on Wednesday morning only to be notified that the matter had been transferred to the Home Circuit Court from the Gun Court section of the Resident Magistrate's Corporate Area Court.

However, that wasn't the only surprise of the morning as the deejay was observed sporting a new haircut. Apparently Kartel had shaven off his dreadlock weave returning to a low haircut. It's alleged the new cut is due to possible hygiene issues at the lock-up.

Kartel has been in police custody since October 2011.  Kartel and his co-accused, Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald, are charged with the murder of businessman Barrington 'Bossie' Bryan who was killed in Gregory Park, St Catherine last year.
