Red hot Dancehall sensation, Konshens refuses to allow the momentum garnered from his Mental Maintenance album to fizzle and has already began work on his sophomore project.
Konshens released his debut album, Mental Maintenance in February, to rave reviews, topping iTunes charts in Japan, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and New Zealand. Additionally, singles off Mental Maintenance such as Simple, Last Drink (featuring Voicemail) and Do Sumn found favour with fans locally and overseas, dominating charts while cementing Konshens’ status as a legitimate superstar.
With these achievements tucked in his back pocket, Konshens seeks to make a similar splash as he plans to reveal more of his evolving, edgy persona in his sophomore album as he’s already began voicing this new project.
“You know say with Konshens, anything is possible so just stay tuned,” Konshens said in a release.
Several Dancehall insiders have tipped Konshens as the best deejay for 2012 with smash hits such as Gal A Bubble, Stop Sign and So Mi Tan, amongst many others. Over the summer, Konshens released a few additional hit singles such as Siddung (featuring Darrio) and Big and Sexy while event venturing into the world of house music, joining forces with renowned Colombian-American producers, Erik Morillo and Sympho Nympho for the track, Murder on the Dance Floor.
Konshens rocked this year's Reggae Sumfest also performing across the Caribbean and the United States while preparing to tour the United Kingdom ahead of assignments in the U.S.
