Popular American porn star, Haley Sweet has incorporated some of the Jamaican culture in her work as she recently shot scenes for an upcoming adult film that somewhat pays homage to one of the island’s popular and most controversial dance trends.
Footage for Sweet’s new movie, Jamerican Dutty Wine was recently shot at an undisclosed location on the island and, according to reports, features Sweet acting as tourist seeking to score with locals. In one scene, Sweet sits naked on a sofa with a Jamaican actor who openly flirts with her and asks if she’s ever had intercourse with a man from the island before the two indulge in adult activities.
The 22-year-old Sweet, who’s featured in over 10 adult films since 2008, intimated that she chose Jamaica as a location for her new adult film given its exotic nature.
"It has been great, it's a beautiful country. It's more exotic and it's a new space, which is a natural turn on. The official destination for the film is the Caribbean, which includes several islands including Jamaica. The co-star is a Jamaican bodybuilder, he calls himself 'Yaad Black Diamond', he is hot," Sweet told the media.
Jamerican Dutty Wine will premiere online in the coming weeks as well as on a local cable outlet. According to Sweet, she hopes to return to Jamaica and film with locals once again.
"I had fun working with a Jamaican and I want to do it again, and I am sure you will love the movie, the quality is awesome. I look so pretty in HD," she joked.
"Have fun watching me on your local cable network on Demand (VOD) in the comfort and privacy of your home. Remember, I am a professional."
Traditionally, Jamaica has never been noted as a country that delves into the adult film market. However, award-winning album and member of the Nomadz live band, Sheldon Shepherd insists that despite the perception, Jamaica can truly benefit from the porn industry.
"What we need to do is capitalize on the possibilities so that Jamaica can benefit through taxes and so forth, but I don't have no problem with it being shot here ... it's modern times."
On the other hand, Jamaica has rarely produced porn stars of note, with the island’s most notable adult actress being Aryana Starr, who’s featured in over 100 pornographic movies.
