Tessanne Chin Advance To Semi-Finals Of The Voice

Maintaining the momentum of two spectacular performances on last night's show, Tessanne Chin supporters once again rallied around the artiste to secure her a spot in the semi-finals of The Voice. Adam Levine, who had pulled off a 'Houdini' act by having all his contestants saved from elimination in consecutive weeks, was hoping for that trend to continue into the semi-finals ... And, it did.

Last night, Blake Shelton admitted that Tessanne was a world-class vocalist and voters certainly agreed. With both of her performances of the previous night making it into the Top 20 on the iTunes chart, the TessTop4 parties held across the Corporate Area certainly paid off.

After announcing that her family's support meant everything to her, Tessanne breathed a sigh of relief as it was announced that she was guaranteed a spot in the semis.

"Their support has meant everything. They believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. I want to thank them for always believing in me," Tessanne said.

Earlier in the night, in the spirit of the Yuletide season, Kelly Clarkson opened the show with her latest Christmas single Underneath the Tree, and prepared the contestants for the inevitable voting results. Tessanne also joined contestants Matthew Schuler and Jacquie Lee earlier in the night for a rendition of You Got The Love by Florence Welch. She also joined all the contestants for a spectacular rendition of O Holy Night.

With only five contestants guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals, and, with this being the last opportunity for fans to instantly save one of the contestants via tweeting, it came as a shock to many that fan-favourite Matthew Schuler was once again at the bottom.

Unfortunately, he was not as lucky the second time around, and was eliminated.

Joining Tessanne in the semi-finals are Cole Vosbury from Team Blake, Jacquie Lee from Team Christina and Will Champlin and James Wolpert from Team Adam. Wolpert was saved by the voice save feature.
