Tifa has kicked off 2017 with a bang. She is featured on Grammy-winning producer Darius “Deezle Beats” Harrison’s new album That’s For Sure, released last Friday.
She is on the song I Wanna Get Next To You.
“Deezle and I have the same publisher, which is the Royalty Network. The publishing company basically set up the collaboration,” Tifa told the Jamaica Observer.
Harrison is an in-demand producer who has worked with several heavyweight rappers including Lil Wayne, Birdman, TI, DMX, Trina, Master P as well as Destiny’s Child, Mary J Blige, Mario and Sean Kingston.
His production credits include Single Again by Trina; Lollipop by Lil Wayne; and Soldier by Destiny’s Child, TI and Lil Wayne.
Tifa has been on a good run in recent months. The remix of her single Big Bumper, featuring soca star Fay Ann Lyons, is expected to be a big hit this Carnival season.
“Great response thus far to the remix. We did a premiere at Bacchanal Jamaica’s launch and it’s been playing a lot at soca parties here as well as in Trinidad and Tobago, Canada and as far as Australia and Japan,” said Tifa.
She added that she is working on material for her debut album, scheduled for release this year.
On Sunday, Tifa performs at the Redemption Live concert at the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre in St Andrew.
