Home Boyz Musik recording artiste Dwayne Wallace better known as Kapri has been steadily making in-rows with his latest offering titled ‘Thug Love’. The composition produced by Jetson Records/Snowcone featuring emerging female act ‘Addikshan’ has found its way onto the playlist of a number of top jocks across the space despite being released only weeks ago.
An accompanying video shot in New York City by Nick Asenio has also been making the rounds via various media outlets and was recently added to BET SOUL.
Alluding to the current success of ‘Thug Love’ Kapri said, “My expectations for this project are limitless. I know it was going to be impacting for my career from the night it was recorded. Producers Snowcone and Tony Kelly, who were present, were also in agreement when they heard the song.”
Amidst the success of ‘Thug Love’ the entertainer is currently putting the final touches on his upcoming EP titled Nostalgia slated for release in August. The project features eight tracks including the aforementioned. Produced on Kapri’s own Home Boyz Musik imprint the EP will also feature works from award winning producers Seanizzle and Jah Snowcone.
According to Kapri, “The plan is to continue the promotion of ‘Thug Love’ and following the release of the EP I will be embarking on a US and Canadian tour to promote the project, plans are already in place for the tour.”
Kapri is best known for the 2008 song ‘Dear Mama’ featured on the Gully Creeper rhythm. The single also marked his official entry into the Jamaican music industry.
