Capping off a tremendous epoch and entering the new year as one of the most sort after acts in the dancehall space, 4th Genna recording artiste Aidonia continues to reap the rewards from the substantial volume of work outputted in 2017.

After breaking into the international mainstream via BBC  Radio and snatching a corporate endorsement courtesy of J. Wray & Nephew. The deejay's career appears to be on an upward trajectory following the recent announcement of the nominees for the 2018 instalment of the Your View Awards (YVAs), formerly known as Youth View Awards.

At the launch, held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston on Thursday, January 11. Aidonia walked away with five nominations in the following categories: Hottest Summer Song for 'Yeah Yeah'; Favourite Dancehall Artiste of the Year; Favourite Local Male Artiste of the Year; Favourite Caribbean Artiste of the Year and Favourite Chart Topping Song of the Year.  This comes in the wake of a double nod from the upcoming International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), where the 4th Genna boss has also been nominated for 'Deejay of the Year' and Song of the Year with 'Banga'.

In a recent statement of the media Aidonia said, "It's a great look to see all the work we have put in over the past year being recognized by the industry, and to them, we extend our gratitude. Of course, I cannot forget my team and the fans without whom none of this would be possible."

The YVAs, now in its 11th year, is set to unfold on February 24th at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston while the 36th Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) showcase, will get on the way Sunday, March 18 at the Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago, Illinois.
