Aside from being the new voice of the Digicel Ra-pa-pam-pam Christmas campaign, Darkcide International recording artiste Ninja Kid is also the latest addition to their road show series for the festive season.
On Saturday afternoon the telecommunications giant armed with a bevy of talent invaded Westmoreland, kicking off the first leg of their $20 million dollar giveaway promotion.
Hitting the stage late in the evening, Ninja Kid, whose given name is Ojukwu Simpson delivered a scintillating performance igniting the hundreds in attendance as they sang in unison to hits such as 'Menke', 'Internet Bad Boy', 'Cups High' before closing his set with the very popular 'Taste & Buy', and making way for Konshens.
"It was a joy to see the crowd still singing my songs even after I had left the stage" - Kid intimated, before extending a heartfelt thanks to Digicel for the opportunity.
Meanwhile, with the Menke video and five (5) singles enjoying premium rotation on the airwaves. Ninja Kid has teamed up with accomplished producer Christopher Birch for the release of 'Have Nuh Gal Like We' on the Symphony Rhythm for which an accompanying video is expected soon.
Kid is also booked to appear at popular radio personality ZJ Wahwa birthday celebrations ‘Selected Few’ slated for December 16th at Rev Night Club in Portmore, St. Catherine.
